ann & john…corona del mar

Last Saturday I had the great pleasure of photographing Ann and John wedding at the Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar. Once again I was accompanied by the one and only talented Sarah K Chen. It was a very intimate event. Ann and John are so sweet and so madly in love with each other. Thank you for running around town with us so that we can capture these tender moments. Here are a few of my favorites.

The other handsome guy at the party.

A special moment between father and daughter captured by Sarah.

Another great capture from Sarah. Oh how I wish this image was mine. Oops! did I just said that out loud.

Then after the reception, we were off to the beach for some more love portraits.

Ann & John, we know that you guys will have a wonderful and long live together. You are so deserving to each other and we are so happy for you. Have a blast in Cancun.

the knot “best of wedding 2008″ pick

Ok, I don’t know how this happened but apparently I have been selected as a 2008 Pick for The Knot Best of Weddings magazine for Orange county “…a coast-to-coast, by-brides-for-brides guide to the top wedding sites, photographers, florists, and more in over 40 key cities across the United States published by The Knot Inc. the #1 wedding website and most trusted wedding resource….and blah! blah! blah!” First, I thought it was a promotional attempt by The Knot when I received my copy of the magazine the other day that I didn’t even care to open it until a few days later. After doing a little research online then did I realize that it is legitimate. Well if someone was doing this as a joke then it was a darn good one. Regardless, I am so honored and excited to be chosen among some of the best in business…still pinching myself. I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation to the ones that had voted for me. Last, this special and resourceful issue is on the newsstands right now, therefore, I recommend all the bride-to-bes to go out and get yourself a copy.

Alice & Brandon Engaged

Last Sunday I had an awesome time hanging out with Alice and Brandon for a few hours. They are two of the coolest and sweetest people on the planet. Therefore, being their photographer was such a pleasure. We spend most of our time relaxing, talking, driving, snapping pictures and hanging out along Pacific Coast Highway. At the end of the day, we came away with some of my most favorite engagement images. Many thanks to Alice and Brandon for making the day so enjoyable. Here is a teaser!

Two too cute!

Yesterday I get to spend a couple of hours with Lila and Emily. They have got to be the cutest little girls on the block. We all hopped into a car along their mom and made our trek down to San Juan Capistrano. Originally, I had a location picked out for the shoot. However, when we got there…let just say that it wasn’t exactly what I had remembered it to be. Anyway, we ended up making a few stops along the way and got these adorable images to show for.

Shiny New Toy

So I am super excited that I just picked up a little shiny new toy. It’s the amazing Canon 50mm f/1.2. I have been drooling over this lens for a while now. So I took it out of the box and snapped this image of my son Cooper with his new slick haircut. As you can see, Cooper is very well trained and always camera ready :)
