Jenny & Ben…Engaged at LAX

Jenny and Ben…well more like Ben :) wanted to do their engagement session at a real castle with a bridge. But since there were no real castle in Los Angeles, our plan B was to head out to LAX. In a way it was like a castle with high towers and bridges and also it was on my “location to shoot at” list. So we met up at one of the parking structures and hung out for the whole session. The weatherman said there was a 20% shower during the day but luckily the sun came out just in time.

Debbie & Chuck…Laguna Beach.

Debbie and Chuck wedded on May 4th of 2008 in Laguna Beach. Their wedding was definitely one that I had been looking forward to. Since Chuck is a photographer…a Canon shooter I might add, we bonded instantly the day we met. These two are so relaxed, funny, sweet and spontaneous. I mean what more can you really ask for…right. What made this day even more special was that Sarah K Chen came along as my second shooter. We always have a blast shooting together. She had also posted up an awesome teaser from this day over at her blog so everyone should head over there to check it out. So we met up with Debbie at a beachfront hotel to begin the day.

Here is the beautiful bride ready for her closeup.

I love this moment here. Kudos to Sarah for nailing this shot.

Then we headed down to the beach for a portrait session. Here is Chuck, Casey, and Debbie together captured by Sarah.

I love the diagonal lines running through this image.

Having some fun with the ring shots…just in case you haven’t noticed :)

Casey is the world first ring-girl-dog.

Last, I would like to leave you with this adorable image…again…captured by Sarah. Now do you understand why I like to shoot with her. She does all the work :) And many thanks to Debbie and Chuck for inviting us into your lives. It was a great pleasure for us to share such a beautiful and special day with you, your family and friends. May you have a long and prosper life together that is fill with love and happiness.

Cooper…the big 4!

This past Sunday was a special day in the Tran’s family. It’s the day our son Cooper turned the big 04. So we had a birthday bash for him at Chucky’s. How time flies? I can still remember his very first birthday. Then fast forward to now he is turning four and starting preschool. It’s moment like this that makes me realize how important it is to spend your life wisely and to spend where it matters most. I would also like to take this opportunity to thanks my wife who is responsible for the most part in raising such a spunky child-o-mine. Happy birthday Coop!

The golden gate

I’ve been doing post processing all weekend just trying to catch up when I came across this image of Heather and Andy from my last post. I got super excited that I had to share. I called it “the golden gate” well just because…

Heather & Andy…Pomona

Heather and Andy got married on May 3rd of 2008. What can I say about these two loving and adorable individuals. Since the first time we met, Heather and Andy just came off as very fun loving, down-to-earth, and all around decent human beings. Together they make quite a pair. Their families were also very warm and accommodating throughout the whole day. I also had the pleasure of meeting and collaborating with the uber talented Micah Gilmore. We had such a banging time hanging out with the bridal crew and documenting this special day. For this particular post, there were so many great images to choose from so be prepared for a long one.

Mom putting the last touch on Andy.

While the girls were getting pretty…

…the boys were getting warm up in the limo.

Andy and the best man looking fab!

Right after I asked the boys to pose for this semi formal image…

Andy broke into this N’ sync / Justin Timberlake’s dance solo routine. It’s was hilarious!

Heather keeping her cool.

A quiet moment during the ceremony.

For the first time as husband and wife.

Now it’s time for some fun portraits.

Love this one!

Everybody was having fun.

Then all of the sudden, there were ninjas everywhere.

This one has all the fancy moves.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

I saw this awesome wall and couldn’t resist.

Love this moment.

Wedding crashers…for sure!

Just chilling in between songs.

Great shot Micah!

These last few ones were also captured by Micah. Great job!

Thank you Heather and Andy. We are so honored and blessed to be among your families and friends. Have a wonderful live together!  God bless!

Heidy & Frank….LA River and Garden Center

Heidy and Frank tied the knot on 5/2/2008 at the Los Angeles River and Garden Center. It was a beautiful day and we could not have spent it with a sweeter couple. I am so blessed to have them as clients. I was also lucky enough to have Jeff Yeon to accompany me as my second shooter consider that it was the day after his baby girl was born. Thanks Jeff and here is a little teaser for you.

Heidy and Frank decided to see each other before the ceremony so that we can squeeze in a fun portrait session.

I love Heidy’s beautiful bouquet.

This is my favorite image of the day.

Congratulation to Heidy and Frank. I hope you had an awesome honeymoon.

ever had one of those three-wedding weekend.

Although it was an exhausting weekend, it was totally rewarding at the same time. Because I rather be doing what I do than anything else in the world right now. When I got home last night from the last wedding at about 11 PM I was completely drained. But as tired as I was, I just couldn’t resist scanning through almost all of 6500 images from the three weddings. I also had a chance to pull out one awesome image from each wedding. I am going to be rolling out wedding teasers for the next few weeks so please stay tune. I am going to take today off and spend some time with the family. Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone. For those of you who do not speak Spanish, Cinco de Mayo actually means tacos and beers ;)
