Just because!

Just want to drop in to say “Happy Hump Day!”.   The last couple of months has been crazy/busy for me but also very exciting. I am down to about five weddings on my to-process list.  Just coming up for a little air.  Here is one of my recent favorite images that I want to leave you guys with.

The Boys!

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of tagging along at a wedding with two cool dudes that go by the name of Ray and Erwin.   If you guys don’t already know who they are…..well you should.  They are wedding and portrait photographer extraordinares who are responsible for the superb Apertura Photography.   These guys really set the bar high for the wedding photography industry.  Thank you for having me and for showing me a few cool tricks.  You guys are not only insanely talented but also very down to earth and humble.   Stay cool!

Shiny New Toy

So I am super excited that I just picked up a little shiny new toy. It’s the amazing Canon 50mm f/1.2. I have been drooling over this lens for a while now. So I took it out of the box and snapped this image of my son Cooper with his new slick haircut. As you can see, Cooper is very well trained and always camera ready

WPPI…Las Vegas!

Just in case anybody was wondering, I was in Las Vegas last week for the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) trade show. It was my very first time at WPPI, therefore, I was a bit overwhelmed. And on top of that, it was in freakin’ Vegas. Any happenings in Vegas is like a cherry on top, right! Are you guys with me? Anyhow, I am finally able to catch up on some of my work. On another note, I am very honored that Amanda from InTheNowWedding included me on her list of favorite photographers. For those of you that don’t already know Amanda, she is a super talented wedding coordinator/graphic designer/florist/wife and now photographer. Just want to express my appreciation for the shoutout. It brings me great joy to see that you’re having fun with your camera and new processing techniques. Keep up the good work. Last, here is a shot through my hotel room window.

Open House at Tivoli Too

Today I was invited to attend Tivoli Too for their open house in Laguna Beach. It was an opportunity to hang out with my future wed couple Debbie and Chuck. Tivoli Too offers beautiful European countryside setting for your wedding party. They also have really good food and a great crew.

Monterey Bay Aquarium…Jellyfish!

I was just diggin’ through some old pictures and found these gems. They were taken at the Monterey Bay Aquarium back in September of 07. We were on our way back from Napa and decided to stop by. This place is so massive. I’ve never seen a school of 100-pound plus bluefin tunas swimming around in a tank. It was a sight to behold. My son and I spent like a whole hour in the jellyfish room. I don’t know about you but I can never get enough them. Here are a few pictures of the Jellies.
