Leilanie & Galen Married

Leilanie and Galen got married on June 21st, 2008. Although we were in the midst of a heat wave, Leilanie and Galen somehow kept their cool all day. We started the day in Carlsbad where Leilanie and her bridesmaids got ready. Livi came out to second shoot with me on this special occasion.

A bridesmaid going over her speech.

I really like this image of Leilanie and the girls.

Galen lookin’ good.

…and the posse.

Leilanie posing for a picture right before the ceremony.

What a cutie.

After the ceremony at the church, we all headed back to Galen’s house in Irvine for their tea ceremony. Here is one of the gifts from Galen’s mom given to Leilanie.

Then some marriage advices to follow.

The big entrance.

A beautiful and touching moment between Leilanie and her father during a toast.

Galen being roasted by the best man.

Father & daughter’s dance.

Then midway through a slow song, they broke into a swing number. It was great!

Another one of my favorites.

Leilanie had this do-you-know-what-I-am-thinking-look in her eyes.

Then she proceeded to show Galen.

Congratulation guys! It was such a pleasure spending the day with you, your family and friends.

A bit exhausted but I am so excited to go through all of the images in the weeks to come. Be on the look out ’cause it’s coming! And now!…drum roll…it’s Miller’s time :)

Michelle & Jhewel…Wedding

Michelle and Jhewel wedding took place on June 7th of 2008 in Pasadena, California. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Westminster Presbysterian Church and followed by a festive reception at the Westin Hotel in Pasadena. Michelle and Jhewel are two of the nicest and sincere people that I’ve ever met. Thank you so much for having us there at your wedding. For this occasion, my partner in crime was the talented Livi who came out to shoot as second along side with me. Livi was actually a groom from one of the weddings that I’d covered last year. I would also like to thank Carla and Avis from Morningdawn Creations for putting together such a beautiful event.

One of Michelle’s maids of honor is lacing her up.

Michelle standing by the church entrance.

Walking down the aisle with her father.

I really love Jhewel’s expression in this image. He exuded a confidence that only a married man can relate too.

A shot through the church’s door.

This is definitely one of my favorites.

Michelle and Jhewel looking ultra cool.

Love this first dance image.

During one of the toasts.

last, an awesome image captured by my second shooter Livi during the slideshow.

Nicole, Jamee, and Max

I rarely have time to photograph anything outside the realm of wedding. But every now and then, I get an opportunity to do something different. Spending some time with Nicole, Jamee, and their adorable corgi named Max at a local park on a Sunday afternoon proved to be very relaxing.

Nicole has the most beautiful sparkling blue eyes.

Jamee is the shy one.

Jessie & David…The Villa

Jessie and David tied the knot on Saturday May 24, 2008. What can I say about these two except that they are so beautiful and so affectionate toward one another. But the best part about Jessie and David is that they are also very gentle, kind, sweet, and intelligent. And I am so blessed to be a part of their wedding day. So here is the long teaser that you have been waiting for.

I love this shot of them standing in front of the church.

I suppose this is what happens when you inhale too much helium :)

Lately, I have been thinking that if I wasn’t a photographer, I could try to have a career as fight sequence choreographer. By the way, these guys are the most flexible subjects that I’ve ever worked with.

The girls weren’t about to be outdone.

I don’t know what is it about this image but I like it A LOT.

This next series of images were so hard to pick so I decided to post them all.

Jessie and David…congratulation! You guys are so well deserved. You have made my job so easy. I would also like to thank the awesome bridal party for rocking my socks off.

Jenny & Ben…Engaged at LAX

Jenny and Ben…well more like Ben :) wanted to do their engagement session at a real castle with a bridge. But since there were no real castle in Los Angeles, our plan B was to head out to LAX. In a way it was like a castle with high towers and bridges and also it was on my “location to shoot at” list. So we met up at one of the parking structures and hung out for the whole session. The weatherman said there was a 20% shower during the day but luckily the sun came out just in time.

Debbie & Chuck…Laguna Beach.

Debbie and Chuck wedded on May 4th of 2008 in Laguna Beach. Their wedding was definitely one that I had been looking forward to. Since Chuck is a photographer…a Canon shooter I might add, we bonded instantly the day we met. These two are so relaxed, funny, sweet and spontaneous. I mean what more can you really ask for…right. What made this day even more special was that Sarah K Chen came along as my second shooter. We always have a blast shooting together. She had also posted up an awesome teaser from this day over at her blog so everyone should head over there to check it out. So we met up with Debbie at a beachfront hotel to begin the day.

Here is the beautiful bride ready for her closeup.

I love this moment here. Kudos to Sarah for nailing this shot.

Then we headed down to the beach for a portrait session. Here is Chuck, Casey, and Debbie together captured by Sarah.

I love the diagonal lines running through this image.

Having some fun with the ring shots…just in case you haven’t noticed :)

Casey is the world first ring-girl-dog.

Last, I would like to leave you with this adorable image…again…captured by Sarah. Now do you understand why I like to shoot with her. She does all the work :) And many thanks to Debbie and Chuck for inviting us into your lives. It was a great pleasure for us to share such a beautiful and special day with you, your family and friends. May you have a long and prosper life together that is fill with love and happiness.
